contest
Problem sets are offered in three versions:
– Version #1, designed for grades 5-6, recommended to be completed in 1 hour 30 minutes,
– Version #2, designed for grades 7-8, recommended to be completed in 2 hours,
– Version #3, designed for grade 9 and above, recommended to be completed in 3 hours.
Every participant, regardless of age, can challenge themselves at any of these three problem sets. You are also welcome to send solutions of problems from different sets.
Problems do not require a calculator.
To get objective assessment of Math and Physics skills participants should solve problems independently.
Each problem set is available in three languages: English, Ukrainian and Russian. Participants can present their solutions in any of these three languages.
We will be grading solutions, not just answers. Do not forget to explain your steps and reasoning.
Participants are offered school-level tasks of varying difficulty. Versions #2 and #3 also contain one Mathematics and one Physics task of Ukrainian regional student competitions level. Competition-level Physics tasks this year are presented by Ilya Markovich Gelfgat, a teacher at Kharkiv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 27, a Distinguished Teacher of Ukraine.
Solutions may be presented on paper sheets of any size and type. If you can't print and fill out the title page, just write personal code and full name of participant on one of the pages. Take photos of solutions or scan them. Produced files (of any type) may be uploaded using a form, which can be accessed in the participant's account below.
